Sunday School

If you would like to be involved in any of these areas, please contact Kathy Moon at 541.754.5956.

  • Teacher — Teach a Bible Study/Sunday School class on Sunday mornings for preschoolers, children, teenagers, college students or adults ages 25 and up.
  • Substitute Teacher — Be willing to fill in for Bible Study/Sunday School teachers who are on vacation, become ill or must miss a Sunday for some reason.
  • Recordkeeping — Help maintain Sunday School class lists and record attendance on office computer.
  • Curriculum Orders — Assist Sunday School director in finding out what curriculum Sunday School teachers need and place the curriculum order each quarter.
  • Resource Closet — Help keep resource closet well-stocked and organized.

Small Groups

  • Leader — Lead a small group of 8 to 12 people who want to meet beyond Sunday School for Bible study, prayer, fellowship or ministry.
  • Host — Host a small group in your home.

Grant Avenue Kids (Birth through Grade 5)

If you would like to get involved in our Children’s ministry, please contact Michelle Fowler 541.971.6907.

  • Assist preschool or children’s Sunday School teachers on Sunday morning , help plan and host fellowship activities for children outside of Sunday School.

Youth Ministry (Grades 6-12)

If you would like to be involved in any of these areas, please contact Pastor Rob at 541.905.2390.

  • “Hang Out Crew” — Spend time with students during Sunday and Wednesday night youth group meetings; participate in activities and Bible studies.
  • Discipleship Group Leader — Meet with 3 to 4 students on a weekly basis to disciple them through your exemple and encouragement as they go through their daily life.
  • Event Chaperone — Attend large youth group events to make sure everyone is safe and engaged.
  • Event Cooks — Help plan and cook meals during retreats and other special activities for large groups of teens.
  • Marketing Coordinator — Create fliers for specific events and activities and develop other creative ways to promote youth events.

College Ministry

  • Assist College Sunday School teachers on Sunday morning, help plan and host fellowship or outreach activities for college students outside of Sunday School.

Young Adult Ministry

If you would like to be involved in any of these areas, please contact Pastor Josh at 503.593.9017.

  • Assist with planning and leading small group Bible studies, discipleship programs or fellowship activities; provide child care during small group activities.

Senior Ministry

If you would like to be involved in any of these areas, please contact Doris Dooney at 541.753.4230.

  • Help plan monthly lunches and trips for senior adults, provide transportation as needed for those who wish to participate in senior outings, visit homebound seniors, etc…

Women’s Ministry (All ages)

If you would like to be involved in any of these areas, please contact Michelle Fowler at 541.971.6907.

  • Leadership Team — Help plan, prepare, decorate, cook and pray for wide range of women’s activities and ministry opportunities including retreats, quarterly “Gatherings” and community outreach events.
  • Bible Study Leader — Teach a women’s Bible study/discipleship group; studies can be of any length and meet wherever and whenever is most convenient for participants.
  • Secret Sisters — Maintain list of participants in Secret Sister ministry; plan annual party to reveal Secret Sister partners and to choose new Secret Sisters.
  • Ladies Night Out — Assist in planning and hosting monthly women’s gathering to work on crafts or to learn a new skill from one another.
  • Hands and Feet — Willing to be on call to prepare meals, offer child care, clean house, provide transportation, etc. when practical needs arise among church family or in the community.
  • Kids Play, Moms Pray — Support morning gathering on first and third Mondays of each month where moms fellowship together while their children play and then spend time in prayer for their families; provide child care during prayer time.
  • Mentoring — Be willing to mentor another woman one-on-one to help them grow in their Christian faith.
  • ESL Ministry — Bilingual volunteers are needed to develop relationships with Spanish-speaking women and help teach then English using a Biblically-based curriculum provided by church.

Men’s Ministry (All ages)

  • Help plan and lead such activities as the Men’s Book Club, Friday Morning Prayer Group and other special events planned for men during the year.
