Love Corvallis is a movement within Grant Avenue to spread the good news of the gospel with the people of Corvallis. Paul said, “Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ”. This truth is central to our calling to reach out in love to the people of our city. Our neighbors’ joy and fulfillment is contingent upon their treasuring of Jesus Christ. This is the message that God has called us to proclaim, and it is our hope that through the joy we have in Christ we would proclaim it with love and compassion.

There are many ways everyone in our church can participate in this calling. Through acts of service, relationship building, and evangelism, God is calling each of us to be involved in ministering to our city. Check out the different ministries we currently have and how you can get involved.

Community Bible Studies

Community Bible studies have started at the Lancaster Bridge Apartments. A Bible study for men is on Thursday’s at 7:00pm and a Bible study for women on Tuesday’s at 7:00pm. We are in need of people willing to help host these Bible studies, as well as provide snacks and refreshments each week. We are also looking for people to help with with child care at the apartments in a yet to be determined location. Stone Soup – 1st Tuesday of every month

Stone Soup is an outreach to the homeless population of our city where volunteers from our church help feed dinner one time a month. The meals are served at First Christian Church. If you would like to volunteer for this ministry, please contact Pastor Rob.

GOL Soccer Camp – Summer 2012 (Date TBD)

Our 2011 GOL soccer camp was a huge success! We had 78 children from all across the Corvallis area discend on Wilson Elementary for a day of fun in the sun and learning about Jesus. This event was an evangelistic soccer camp for youth ages 7-12. You can learn more about our GOL soccer camp here. Check out pictures from this year’s camp here. Vacation Bible School – Summer 2012 (Dates TBD)

We are excited to announce the theme of this year’s VBS – Amazing Wonders Aviation! Vacation Bible School is an outreach we do each year in our community. Children ages preschool to 6th grade come to our church each day to participate in crafts, sports, Bible studies, and other fun activities. If you would like to get involved in being a part of VBS this year, please contact Carol Reeves.
